Payment processor fees

We use Stripe in Canada and Cashfree in India. They charge their own fees per transaction (typically 2–3% for cards, lower for UPI). These go directly to the processor — we don't mark them up.

What exactly is the 3% fee?
When a customer pays through Stomp (via QR code or payment link), we take a 3% platform fee from that transaction. If no payment happens through Stomp, you pay nothing.
What are the payment processor fees?
We use Stripe in Canada and Cashfree in India to move money. They charge their own fees — typically 2–3% for cards, lower for UPI and bank transfers. These go directly to the processor. We don't mark them up.
Why Stripe and Cashfree?
Stripe is the gold standard for payments in North America — fast, reliable, supports all major cards and wallets. Cashfree is purpose-built for India with first-class UPI, netbanking, and wallet support. We picked the best for each market.
Can I use Stomp without payment processing?
Absolutely. Run loyalty stamp cards where customers pay cash and staff adds stamps manually. In that case, Stomp is completely free — the 3% fee only applies to payments processed through our platform.
Are there any hidden fees?
None. No monthly fees, no setup costs, no per-customer charges, no cancellation penalties. The only fees are the 3% platform commission and whatever your payment processor charges.
How do payouts work?
Payouts go from the payment processor (Stripe or Cashfree) directly to your bank account. Settlement is typically 2–3 business days, depending on your region and processor.
Do my customers pay any fees?
Never. Stomp is free for customers — no app to download, no subscriptions, no transaction fees on their end.
